Have you ever wondered what’s underneath the hood of your autonomous robot or vehicle, or how it even works? Watch the video below as Walt explains how dual GNSS can help your device with accuracy.

RTK compassing is important because it can help to identify heading. This is important or valuable if you have a stationary system or non-existent accelerating condition for identifying the heading.

When you have metallic vehicles, this can cause interference with the magnetometers. This interference can affect the magnetic heading for North and is important for vehicles that are stationary or for systems that require precision in the heading.

So why is dual GNSS compassing important to you? With a moving vehicle that is metallic or with any metal in proximity to the system that is moving, it can throw off the magnetometer, and your accuracy will be affected.

At Inertial Sense, we’re all about our customers and seeing your autonomy rise to the next level. Contact us today for more information on how to purchase a dual GNSS-INS Compassing Sensor for enhancing your robotic’s accuracy today!

Moving baseline RTK compassing to identify the heading. This is important or valuable for when you have a system that is stationary or existent unaccelerating conditions and you want to identify the heading.

So you take these two GPS receivers, you mount them on a vehicle and you can identify the heading.

This is important for vehicles that may be metallic, that have interference with magnetometers. So you can’t use magnetic heading for North. This is important for vehicles that are stationary, or this is important for systems that require precision in the heading.

Why is dual GNSS compassing important to you? If you have a moving vehicle that’s metallic or you have metal in proximity to the system that’s moving, that’ll throw off the magnetometer, and the heading will not be accurate.
