— SATCOM ON THE MOVE

Better Inertial Data.
Less Antenna Hunting.

Moving platforms create a constant pointing challenge for SATCOM systems. Inertial Sense provides accurate, high-rate motion and attitude data that helps antenna controllers respond to platform movement with greater precision.

— The Pointing Challenge

Platform Motion Creates
A Pointing Challenge.

A SATCOM antenna mounted on a vessel, vehicle, or aircraft must continually compensate for the movement beneath it. Roll, pitch, yaw, heave and course changes all shift the antenna away from its target.

When the controller receives delayed, noisy, or insufficiently accurate motion data, it may require more correction and a wider search area to maintain or reacquire its target.

— IMPORTANT

Inertial Sense does not replace the antenna controller. It provides the controller with accurate, high-rate information about how the platform is moving. Better motion data can help the system make more precise corrections and reduce unnecessary searching.

— Core Benefits

Less Hunting.
Less Downtime.

Support More Stable Pointing

Accurate motion and attitude data helps the antenna controller compensate for movement beneath the system.

Narrow the Search Requirement

Better inertial information can reduce the area the antenna needs to search when correcting or reacquiring its target.

Integrate Into Compact Platforms

Inertial Sense offers compact navigation hardware designed for systems with demanding size, weight, power, and integration requirements.

Move Toward Production

Hardware designed to support evaluation, integration, and larger production programs without the traditional size and cost burden of many tactical-grade systems.
