— PRODUCT END OF LIFE NOTICE

The IMX-5 Is End of Life.
The IMX-6 Is a Drop-In Replacement.

The IMX-5 Series and all associated variants have reached end of life. The IMX-6 was engineered as a form-fit-function compatible successor — identical pinout, identical footprint, same SDK — so most customers migrate without a PCB redesign, and gain roughly 30% better navigation accuracy in the process.

— Form-Fit-Function Compatible

Migrating Is a Part-Number Change,
Not a Redesign.

Pinout

Identical — no PCB redesign required

Footprint

Same 15.6 × 12.5 × 2.9 mm LGA module

Power

Same 3.0–3.6 V supply, identical I/O levels

Interfaces

USB, UART ×3, SPI, RS232, RS485, CAN

Software

Same Inertial Sense SDK and protocols

Enclosures

RUG-4 keeps RUG-3 mounting and connectors

— FOR REGULATED PROGRAMMES

Inertial Sense publishes a formal Form-Fit-Function compatibility statement for the IMX-5 → IMX-6 transition. Customers in aerospace, defense, or regulated procurement may cite it directly in qualification and configuration-management documentation.
